An easy alternative may be to patch your uxtheme, and get a visual style instead (IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Here are two Deviant Art links you may find useful link 1 link 2 |

Yoni, I had a bit of time this afternoon to test the release. Here are some observations:
1. Good thing to have the iShut settings on Desktop; 2. Would be perfect to associate the Safari icon directly to Safari for Windows (for me works the best as webbrowser, even is in 3.03 beta version for now - check Apple), and the icon of Firefox from icon library included icn.icl, can be directly associated to the Firefox webbrowser (that package is the one with a very large memory amount ~ 55 MB); 3. Former versions of RKLauncher did not used any icon files, only png's, but I have seen that the icl package is used for the menus, submenus and shortcuts in the KKMenu. 4. Would be better for all users to associate the captured images from iCapture to a general user directory /Public/Public Pictures/Capture (this directory can be created automaticaly so the capture has a fixed destination for each type of user); 5. In the KkMenu.ini file there are two values to be changed: <Max Dynamic Folder Text Length = 70> <Max Menu Height (percent of screen height) = 70> by this change, each one can have a wider line for the longest title of the application (now with the existent values some titles are croped by adding 3 points); 6. Very good decision to remove the sound for selected items, because produced a short delay acting in parallel with the sounds of the menu open and submenu open; 7. Please correct my alias (auqs10) in the Notes.txt and Screen that pops-up in the Installer. I couldnt test all the shortcuts yet, but some are not associated well. Tommorow I will test them all. Hope it is not an unwanted delay. -------------------- Nothing specially to sign out. Just keep EDGE alive.

So basically this is what we need to get done: (Not sure about the iCapture suggestion. First of all I would like to know if it worked for you right after the installation. I tried to set environment variables but iCapture didn't work when I did that. I had to set the path as C:\Users\Yoni\Desktop for it to work as expected.) Of course that path shouldn't work for you out of the Box cos' your user name is not Yoni for sure (IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I'm also thinking about adding a new shortcut in the desktop pointing to the Applications folder so users can drag files and shortcuts into that icon to be showed in the KKmenu under Applications section. What do you think? As of now users have to go into %ProgramFiles%\RK Launcher\RK Launcher 0.41 Beta Nightly\docklets\KkMenu\scf1\Applications to add any shortcut or folder into the Applications menu in KKmenu. I don't know if so many icons in the desktop after the installation will make it uncomfortable for users though -------------------- Free File Hosting | Premium File Hosting | Free Image Hosting | Become a VIP Contact Site Administration Contact ME Once a good site pops up a thousand clones appear |

To Yoni and all, came across rklauncher yesterday after doing a google search for mac os x themes for XP, after using my mates mac for the last 6 months and loving the mac interface. Found it a wikihow article, and that linked to the rklauncher homepage, and then naturally a link to here. So I registered to say a big thanks and keep up the good work, this is a better invention than sliced bread (IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Great Work. |

Hi Yoni, as I said, here are the shortcuts that didn't work for me:
1. The System from base dock (osx disk) is not working. 2. The Office links under KKMenu are not working. 3. Two shortcuts in Built-in links under KKMenu (DVD Maker and Media center) - perhaps I didn't install those programs at system installation. I think that there is a problem for these shortcuts because they are links-to-links, and I remember in older versions of RKLauncher this kind of chain links didn't work. About iCaptures, yes it worked perfectly, the same iShut and iCal. About the path for captured images, under Users main directory there is Public and there can be created a Capture subdirectory. I have tested and works perfectly. So, no need to point the exact name of the user, the capture can be taken in the specific place for each Vista system. I forgot to tell you that KKMenu under RKlauncher "does not like" shortcuts reffering to applications from subdirectories with non continuous names (if there are spaces within the names of the subdirectories sometimes the commands are not working). -------------------- Nothing specially to sign out. Hi hugo_r21, here you can have the icon and png image of the TrillyPro. Your icons were unappropriate to extract good resolution images, but i found a png file with transparency and I made the new one with reflection (ico and png).

Hi auqs10, this is what I have fixed: System link (path of OSX Disk in the dock) Office links are working for me here. I don't really know what could be wrong. Do you have Office 2007 installed? Please check your installation path because those links are working for me. Also the Media Center and DVD Maker links are working fine here. I double checked their paths and everything seems to be OK (IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) About iCapture I will be changing the path to C:\Users\Public\Pictures ... It seems Icapture doesn't like environment paths (IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) -------------------- Free File Hosting | Premium File Hosting | Free Image Hosting | Become a VIP Contact Site Administration Contact ME Once a good site pops up a thousand clones appear |

Hi Yoni, for Office 2007 I discovered why are not working. Wrong version associated. everything else working fine. So that basically means I can re-compile the Installer and open the download (IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/grin.gif) Do you have any other suggestion, or something else you would like to add? p.s I tried to toy with 2 KKmenus yesterday but the error popped up no matter what. I also tried to modify the dll file in question but I got only errors as results (IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) -------------------- Free File Hosting | Premium File Hosting | Free Image Hosting | Become a VIP Contact Site Administration Contact ME Once a good site pops up a thousand clones appear |

Yoni, in my opinion this Leopard Inspired version of RKLauncher has reached a stable status, works fine, is easy to customize/add items and gives a very fast access to many basic tools and also to specific applications. The fine, smooth and close appearance to unlaunched (yet) most friendly system graphics interface (Apple's Leopard) give to mac fans (who use PC's, nomatter for which reason) a feeling of direct, easy but also a different concept about using computers. It is nice to be helpful, thanks for this opportunity. Hope, I can help furthermore. (IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)
