This should work, but only for one docklet otherwise anytime you launch the RKLauncher you will get an error message. |

my video card is integrated Intel GMA X3100, realy don't support aladdin? Try to download and unpack the dll file to your RKLauncher base subdirectory. http://windowsedge.com/forums/index.php?ac...post&id=138 |

There is a really nice Windowblinds Mac Theme on Hollywood GUI for Vista called iMetal_Graphite_for_Vista_by_gvsb, no need for objectbar and such. Hi narcan, seems that you haven't seen this forum with the most apple-ish interface I have ever seen yet, and produced by idas. http://windowsedge.com/forums/index.php?sh...20&start=20 Just take a look and enjoy. Ok, as you can see i was like one of the first to download this pubically, and i have a problem, then it went away. so i have been using this new version of rk for a while. Then all of a sudden i click on a icon and rk closes, so then i start it back up again and it says "Error creating hooks" I click ok and nothing happens. i then uninstalled every bit of rk on my system and reinstalled. no luck. Whats the problem? Hi purry, that is happening when someone is installing several versions and the shortcut in the StartUp remains from the earlier version (sometimes because many are trying to set in Settings/Behaviour to start in Registry and forgets to remove the shortcut from start menu - I had the same). But, removing older versions should consider also the shortcuts and registry entries for starting up with the system. |

Hi Felix, there is a simplier method to create several docklets for Stacks without error messages. In the subdirectory ..\docklets\StackDocklet you will find the corresponding StackDocklet.dll file. Just copy it somewhere else and remane it with your desired name association (e.q. StackDockletBurn.dll - DO NOT LET SPACES IN THE NAME OF THE FILE OR OF THE SUBDIRECTORY). Then copy back to the same directory where is the original one. You can repeat these operations as many stacks you would like to create in the RKLauncher Dock. Right click on the separator of the dock and then click normaly to launch Add Docklet... From the window appeared select in upper right part the Type "ObjectDock Docklet". In the left panel you will see now at least two StackDocklet small icons (one with the original name and the second with the name you gave it to the dll file). Select the new desired one and press the Add to Dock button and that's all for each new docklet for Stacks you want to create. I have 10 of them in the dock associated to separate folders - I created inside the subdirectory mentioned above similar named directories to each new dll file multiplied with method described above (e.q. \docklets\StackDocklet\Burn ) and I copied only the shortcuts to executables from the Programs Menus ..\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\StartMenu\Programs\... (usualy the C:\ProgramData folder is hidden) creating by this way chain shortcuts to the applications (here be sure to not deactivate the small down-left curved arrows of the shortcut icons if you want to launch the applications from the dock - that is normal action and dedication of the Stacks). Just follow the indications and no errors will appear, for any of the multiple Stacks you create. When you associate icons to the Stacks just be sure to indicate the right path (with back-slashes \ instead of normal slashes /) in the line Icon because automatic association puts normal slashes in the path. If you chose icons from ..\icons\More Refflective Icons\ subdirectory just don't forget to introduce the exact path "C:\Program Files\RK Launcher\RK Launcher 0.41 Beta Nightly\icons\More Reflective Icons\" because automatic association leaves out the \icons\ subdirectory from the line. Later we will upload specific icons for the Stacks (similar to the drawers from real Leo). |

I'm in Leopard right now, everything works great its fast and has better font rendering than most OS's. i think Mac OS X's only fault is that most of the software is made for Windows and OS X only works on Macs (officially) (IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) You are right vista custo, the interface and rendering is so smooth and represents best way ever. About software for that system just check the macupdate.com (lots of them and so fine and good working). (IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |

This is to all those using RKLauncher 0.41 Leopard Inspired that encountered problems with Alladin's Effect. Just extract the dll file to the main directory of RKLauncher (it was taken from the SwiftShader's site). That's all folks, enjoy it, because this effect makes your dock to act closer to the genuine one in MacOSX. |

O.k, but where can I find OSX64? Also, Apple made a change to their End-user license agreement. It says that Mac OS X 10 can be ran on Windows XP and possibly Vista. (IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) palz Hi palz, the OSX is native in 64 bit (the thinking applied to Win OS's do not apply for OSX, there is only one version for all levels - see here http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/ and select to view the short movie "Chose a Vista"), but the emmulation should start from that version of XP (x64) or Vista (x64). Latest version of VMware was developed for Vista too. |

(IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) i know this is sorta a vista forum, bu' ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DO WHAT THE TITLE SAYS? palz (IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Hi palz, one option Chris has left out. Try VMWare as virtual machine and see first how its working (you need both to purchase legaly, VMWare and OSX base system). This answer goes exactly for your title question. After that you will consider to buy a new PC or a Mac (this one I recommend also). |

hey everyone, i just found out something, the preveiws of the files are all fake, so dont put as much work as i did in getting them to work. Don't be so pessimistic, maybe someone will find a way to associate the thumbnails of the main file types in the kkmenus. Not yet solved. |

Hmm, I've downloaded the original RK launcher (720KB) and it looks great! And "he" don't remember the things, when i simply delete him : ) It's great, I've been using your modification, no offence, it's great! But this is more stable, I think so. Your icon's (ReFFlective) are awesome guys! Bravo! (IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Seems that you have more than 1 version of the RKLauncher installed on your system (see which one is loading at startup). Otherwise the file replacement was the simplest way to do it. Perhaps you changed the file in an nonactive RKLauncher installed package. |

If hard to make it, just wait for the new release that will have several KKMenus included. |

ok, i need to know how to add another kkmenu that allows me to look whatever file i want, and be able to have an image. Someone make a guide. I AM RUNNING VISTA!! purry, it is quite simple if you know that KKMenu is a docklet. Adding a new KKMenu (Add a docklet) gives you first an error saying that "Class already run", just close that window, but then you will find it without icon at the end of the dock. To show the icon associated you have to edit the itemlist.conf file while RKLauncher is not running (the path for the icon has normal slashes / instead of back slashes \ as should be, just replace them). Then you can move your new docklet where ever you want inside the dock (keep in mind that you should not let the box marked for "Lock the ..."). That's all, you're welcome. |

Is there a way to reset the dock? I mean, when i re-install it, to have the standart things? Cause it don't work with uninstall and install again, it remembers all the icons (IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) What's the point of the uninstallation, I'am wondering? (IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:http://windowsedge.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Do not uninstall, just unload and replace the itemlist.conf with this one uploaded here. Trash is a docklet that can be added from the settings of the RKLauncher. Unpack the zip file containing the configuration file. |

Absolutely amazing dock! I just have one problem, when I try to minimize any window I get an error that says " Error creating Direct3D Device", and then the window is minimized. Do you know how to solve this? Thanks Emerxon, try to change the minimize effect from Alladin's to Scale (some graphic cards do not support that effect). |
